When shopping for a wedding band, you will have the opportunity to choose your ring's width. Our experts have tips on choosing the right width for your wedding band:

• Wedding bands typically range in widths from 2mm to 12mm. Smaller widths (2mm-4mm) tend to have a more subtle look, while wider bands (6mm-8mm) have a more noticeable presence.
• Your ring size makes a proportional difference. For instance, an 8mm ring will look just right on most men, but on very small fingers it can overwhelm and feel bulky. 
• People with larger hands or longer fingers usually find that wider bands are more comfortable, while those with smaller hands or shorter fingers often prefer narrower bands. For instance, if you have larger hands (sizes 8-15), a 8mm-10mm band may suit you best. If you have smaller hands, a width of 2mm-6mm (sizes 2-8) can feel more proportionate.

It is so thin that it cannot be inlaid with other materials and is typically made from gold, tungsten, or ceramic. 2mm rings are generally available in smaller sizes and usually aren't found above size 12. This ring width is considered extra-thin or extra-small.

4mm Wide Wedding Bands

The 4mm wedding band width option is unisex, although women tend to favor this small ring width. Some wedding bands of this width are able to accommodate thin inlays, which appear delicate.

6mm Wide Wedding Bands

This wedding ring width is universal and unisex. It is wide enough for a small inlay of your chosen material and isn't overwhelming on your hand. 

8mm Wide Wedding Bands

The most popular men's wedding band width is 8mm. Most men prefer the way this width feels on their finger, and it is available in a large range of sizes. It allows for a substantial amount of inlay material which is great for showing off the characteristics of wood, antler, or stone. 

10mm Wide Wedding Bands

This ring width provides room to show off any unique inlays, or act as a canvas for stunning engraved images, including fingerprints, handprints, and footprints.

12mm Wide Wedding Bands

As the widest band option we offer, the 12mm width is a perfect fit for anyone who prefers a more substantial ring and are perfect for the gentleman who likes a wider feel. These are often worn as fashion rings as they are quite noticeable and found in handsome, noticeable designs and patterns. This is an especially perfect width for rings sizes 11 and up, which are sturdy and more comfortable on the finger when paired with a 12mm width. This wider option can be unwieldy for small ring sizes and can be difficult to find in sizes smaller than 6 or 7, although we offer a limited selection as small as size 5.
